Few people think that visitors to other foreign countries should follow that country’s native customs and behavior while others disagree and believe that the host country should welcome different cultures. In the following paragraphs, this essay will firstly discuss that, a person learns and explores new things by following local customs and secondly that a host country should respect each and every culture and should welcome it as well.
Body Paragraph 1:
To start with, according to many individuals, visitors should follow local customs and trends, as people can learn and explore many new things that are a part of other country’s culture and tradition and may be absent in their own native culture. By this a person becomes a global citizen and it helps in broadening the horizon of knowledge of a person. Learning and exploring things can help in personality development and mental growth of an individual. For example, an article was published in ‘The Tribune’ newspaper in 2020, which stated that 30% of visitors have more experience who try to learn new traditions and culture as compared to others.
Body Paragraph 2:
However, some people think that a host country should welcome all the different cultures. A host country respect other cultures and traditions and should give an opportunity to country’s citizen to learn from them. By this people can adopt good things from the other traditions and it may help in forming a good relation with other countries. Moreover, people can know about the ethics and norms from the individuals of other countries as each and every culture have a uniqueness and special things regarding native places and people. For example, a survey was conducted by an NGO ‘The Sunshine’ in 2021, according to which many foreign countries adapted the culture of worshiping trees from Indian culture as it is good for environment.
