Introductory Statement:
Private vehicles like cars are a very comfortable mode of transportation. Nowadays, majority of the individuals use their own private cars for travelling purpose. In the upcoming paragraphs, firstly this essay will discuss about the problems related to traffic congestion and increase in pollution. Secondly, this essay is going to discuss about the possible solution to mitigate these issues is by improving the conditions of existing public transports and initiates the carpooling trend.
Body Paragraph 1:
Looking more precisely at the problems which occur by the high usage of cars. Undoubtedly, in this modern era a major section of society tend to use their own personal cars. And this trend is causing many problems. First of all, there is heavy traffic on the roads. If majority of the people drive their own vehicles even for shorter distance there can be a heavy traffic jams on the roads. Secondly, owing to traffic congestion the air quality is getting poor. Ultimately, which leads to increase in pollution and other sort of environmental problems. Global warming and depletion of Ozone layer are some of the problems. The main reason these happening is release of dangerous fumes from motor vehicles. Lastly, people will face several health related problems like asthma and many skin diseases because of heavy traffic and rise in pollution. To exemplify, a survey was conducted by WHO in 2020 which stated that the level of pollution rose by 35% in recent years as most of the people drive their own vehicles to their destinations.
Body Paragraph 2:
Glancing at the suitable solutions to overcome these issues, first and the foremost is to reduce the traffic on roads for which the government should aware general public about the bad consequences of using high number of private vehicles like it’s impact on people’s health and on environment as well. Additionally, car pooling system should be adopted by individuals as it leads to reduction in traffic congestion and pollution also. Apart from this, government should improve the conditions and efficiency level of public transports. So that individuals start using public modes of transportation for travelling purpose. Also, government can introduce more electric vehicles which don’t need any kind of fuel and oil. For instance, a report of Research and Development Department revealed that if people will use automatic vehicles then the quality of air would be better.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, although there are several problems faced by people due to the usage of private cars such as traffic congestion, pollution and health issues. Yet, these problems can be solved by modifying the public transportation and also with the help of creating awareness and by encouraging people to adopt car pooling system which is beneficial for the society.
