Role of Parents in education:
- a) Parents are the first teacher of every child because they help to prepare them for formal education.
- b) Coordinate with teachers for the better education of their children.
- c) Provide moral and financial support for the education of their children.
- d) Parents also educate children about society’s morals and ethics.
Role of Teachers:
- Teachers play an imperative role because they are as important as parents.
- They play a vital role in preparing the mind set of students, so that they can learn better.
- Help students to realize the value of education.
- Guide students properly and take proper action.
- Help students to learn and understand the subjects properly.
- Motivate the students.
Discipline and rules in school:
- It provides safety to students.
- Positive and controlled environment for students.
- Creates a learning environment for students.
- Ultimately, shapes them to become better citizens.
Bad Behavior in Schools: Causes
- Bad behavior is due to a lack of structure and discipline
- There are too many children in some classes
- Large classes are difficult to manage
- Many disruptive students come from an unstable family background
- Other parents are too lenient and spoil their children
- Some children are used to getting whatever they want
- Schools can do very little if they are not supported by parents
Punishment:
Punishment should not be given to the students:-
- As it can psychologically disturb the students.
- Students can try to avoid going to schools or taking part in any kind of activity due to fear of punishment.
- It may result in more disobedience in the students.
Note: Rather giving punishment to the students, teachers and parents should give proper guidance to them. So that students can improve their behavior and make distinction between right and wrong.
Single-sex and Co-ed Schools:
- Problems of single-sex schools:
- Unbalanced growth of personality.
- Not appropriate for our society.
- Advantages of Co-ed schools:
- It develops a feeling of equality and understanding among students.
- It develops a mutual respect for boys and girls.
- Co-ed schools are better for overall personality growth of students.
Uniforms:
Benefits of uniforms:
- Creates sense of equality among students
- Improves discipline and controls discrimination
Problem of uniforms:
- Everybody can not afford.
- There can be a pressure on financial condition of parents.
Funding:
Education must be free for each and every citizen
- Because it will create equality.
- It will help to improve literacy rate.
If a country is poor then private schools can be encouraged to provide education to the individuals.
Educational aid to poorer countries:
WTO, WHO, UNESCO, UN and Developed Nations must help poor countries by providing them funding, aid to educate their citizens. It will lead to increase in

- Improve overall lifestyle of mankind.
Solutions for stagnation in education:
- More focus on practical knowledge.
- More focus on vocational courses.
- Degrees must be designed as per the jobs availability.
