Moving on the details, in line graph water consumption increased gradually from year 1900 to 2000. More water was used in Agriculture sector that was approximately 3000 km2 in 2000. Moreover, the amount of water used by industrial sector reached about 1000 km2 in 2000. Furthermore, the least amount of water was used in Domestic sector. That was roughly 400 km2 in the year 2000.

In the table it is shown that more water was consumed by Brazilians than the people of Congo. The population of Brazil was 176 million in 2000. They used 26,500 km2 of land for irrigation. And consumption of water per person was 359 m3. Moving further on to Democratic republic of Congo, the population wad 5.2 million in 2000. Moreover, the land used for irrigation was 100 km2 which was less than that of Brazil. So, water consumption of water per person was also less that was 8 m3.
