Modern technology had great impact on every individual’s life. Many schools provide laptop computers and tablets for students to use in school replacing other printed materials like exams and assignments. This essay will firstly discuss that about the advantages of using modern technology in school by students. Secondly, this essay also discuss about the negative impact of using tablets and laptop on their body and mind.
Body Paragraph 1:
Many schools are adopting modern technology for teaching using laptop and computers to help students to be in touch with technology. At a very early age, students get the knowledge about the use of tablets and laptop which further help them in making assignments. Students now can search about different information online instead of using books. Modern technology and science also encourage students to be more creative and sharp minded by developing codes on laptop and computers. This also promotes their cognitive skills and knowledge. For example, a survey was conducted by Delhi University in 2019 which states that about 20% to 30% schools provide laptop and computer to students to increase their cognitive skills.
Body Paragraph 2:
The use of latest technology also had many drawbacks for students. As tablets and laptop are provided to students, it decreases the use of books and hand writing notes. Students are getting further away from writing information in copy that leads to poor learning. The continuous use of computer effects student’s eye sight as the rays coming from screen are very dangerous. Instead of playing outside, students prefer to do work on their computer which leads to obesity and laziness. Students are also becoming anti-social with the use of modern technology. For example, a survey was conducted by Mumbai University in 2020 which stated that about 20% to 35% students are dealing with obesity due to using tablets and laptops in schools.

At the end this essay concluded that introducing modern technology is good for increasing knowledge but it is somehow neglecting their health. The use of laptops and computers replace the books and other printed materials.
