Introductory Statement:
Fatherhood needs to be given as much importance as motherhood. The idea that mothers are only responsible for making decision of whether to have children or not leads on to the idea that only mothers are responsible for the upbringing of the children. This essay totally disagrees with the given nation. In the following paragraphs, this essay will firstly discuss that a role of father is as important as mother in the upbringing of children. And secondly that having children is a mutual decision of parents.
Body Paragraph 1:
To start with, many people think that only mother is responsible for the upbringing of children. But the role of father is as important as mother. A child learns from both father and mother equally. A father has an equal responsibility of children much as of their education, food etc. There are many things that a child learns from his father. For example, an article was published in the ‘The Hindu’ newspaper in July 2018, that children learn better when guided by both mother as well as father.
Body Paragraph 2:
Furthermore, that idea that only mother is responsible for having children leads on to that only mother is responsible for the upbringing of children. Whereas, as fathers are equally responsible for the upbringing of children. A father has also equal rights of deciding when to have children. So, both can be mentally prepared to have a responsibility of nurturing children. For example, a survey was conducted in 2020, by an NGO the sunshine which stated that, parents who mutually decided to have children can bring up their children in better way.
Conclusion:
To conclude this, fathers role an important role in the rearing and nurturing of the children. They should be given equal importance and rights to decide when to have children.
