Introductory Statement:
The ever-increasing population of the world is the major problem that the mankind at the present time is tackling with. In the following paragraphs this essay will firstly discuss about the causes of the over population and secondly this essay agrees with the notion that overpopulation
Body Paragraph 1:
To start with nowadays, over population has become a threat to mankind. The major cause of this problem is illiteracy. In many parts of the country there are people who consider child as a blessing of God. This is because people are not educated properly about the family planning. People are not aware that having more and more children can put pressure on the financial conditions of the family as well as on the nation. For example, an article was published by the ‘The Hindustan University’ newspaper according to which many remote area, people are still having more than 3 children due to lack of knowledge.
Body Paragraph 2:
Overpopulation can lead to several other social problems. There is a lack of employment, because number of people outweighs the number of jobs. Also, there would be a pressure on government for providing food to every individual. There are fewer amounts of natural resources like coal and petroleum but more number of people to use it. There is also a high possibility of increase in crime rate as unemployed people became helpless for food and shelter. For example a survey was done by ‘UNESCO’ according to which the poverty rate and number of homeless people is for higher in the overpopulated countries.
Conclusion:
To conclude this, over-population is increasing day by day due to lack of knowledge in people of some areas and this problem is leading several more consequences like poverty, homelessness, unemployment, increases crime rate etc. Government should spread awareness about the family planning policies in country, especially in remote areas.
