Introductory Statement:
History has sharpened the human race to what it is today, be it the advancement of industrialisation or the horrors of a war. People are different when it comes to finding the roots of one’s family. For some it is important to unravel the origins and for some it is better that past is in the past. We will discuss both the views.
Body PAragragh 1:
It becomes important that the lessons we have learnt as a generation, remain intact within our memories so the future generations can learn and progress towards a better tomorrow. It is safe to say that for most people the origins of their family is unclear, and very few of them put on themselves to unravel their forefather’s doings and find exactly where they come from. When one eventually un-threads their bloodline, they are surprised by the outcomes. For some, their great grandfather had been very well off and had a fortune in their time. Whereas, for some, their past generations have fought in war and the same brave blood runs through their children. For some, the family had been drenched in poverty and with time they acquired wealth and respect in the world. Eventually, whatever one might find, their is always a positive way to look at it and learn from it. If it had been a heaven for their forefathers, they can decide to make a name for themselves and continue their legacy. If it had been bone-chilling poverty for them, one can make it their life’s ambition to turn things around.
Body Paragraph 2:
On the other hand, it is also rational to say that if one has been this far in life without knowing the past, it would be a waste of time to poke further and wake up a story that is dead. They consciously make this decision to stay away from what had been and focus on what is going to be. This is because no one can control the past. We can only control the present and therefore the future. It doesn’t matter what beauty or beast lies in the family history. Us, the present generation has to move forward and think about making a better tomorrow.
Conclusion:
Taking both the pictures into account, I believe that uncovering the family history benefits us as humans. It is our perspective as to how we will take the findings. We need to take the knowledge and fuel it for our mind and moral engine. We need to boost it towards our future and teach the same to our kids. So the family values and legacy stays alive.
