Introductory Statement:

Development and that too properly planned and in a positive manner, is the bases for the evolution. Most of the individuals would debate that empirical research demands a degree of surveillance from the relevant governmental departments. And it is a very genuine and necessary policy, if taken properly. This essay intends to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the above notion whereby prominent would be overall development of the nation though, it would hinder a sense of creativity as well.

Body Paragraph 1:

Talking about the advantages, planned and properly executed scientific research is the best path of development for every country. It leads to overall all upliftment of the whole nation. And even attains positive growth comprehensively in all the sections of society. Here, the development statists report 2021 of UNITED NATIONS can be quoted which found that top 10 developed countries of the world prefer development under surveillance.

Enlightening about the disadvantages, this approach of scientific research hinders creativity as everything would be pre planned which would leave no space for betterment at own level. Furthermore, another disadvantage is that it would lead to an environment full of harassment at the level of govt. officials. In name of surveillance, research would reduce and would be under control. Hence, it would lead to wastage of recourses and time as well. To exemplify, data of 2021 from the HRD ministry of India can be mentioned here according to which 900 research companies got shut as their planned were not passed by the govt departments respectively.

To conclude, it can be stated that empirical research kept under surveillance of government is a very sensible idea if taken seriously. But as a coin has two sides, this approach also has advantages and disadvantages which indeed should come in consideration.
