In many countries, people are now living longer than ever before. Some people say an ageing population creates problems for governments. Other people think there are benefits if society has more elderly people. To what extent do the advantages of having an ageing population outweigh the disadvantages.
Introduction
Ageing Population is increasing day by day globally. Few individuals believe that older population creates issues for the governments while others admit that there are merits as well if the society has more percentage of older people. This essay intends to profess that it has more disadvantages as opposite to the advantages. Formally mentioning the issues of increasing burden of Health care and medicine in the first paragraph. Lately mentioning the problem of decreasing working population in the second paragraph, thus hindering the pace of development.
Body Paragraph one:
Talking about the major issue, ageing population needs more care as compared to the others. Governments are to provide proper medical and health care systems for curing the problems of the old people. Hence, a large amount of their resources gets in maintaining hospitals and providing health facilities. Which else would have been for other development purposes of the country. To exemplify, 90 percent of the global governments even admit that population of elderly people creates more issues which are bound to be taken care.
Body Paragraph Two:
Mentioning another problem, increase in the ageing population is inversely proportionate to the decrease in the working population. This trend has seriously impacted the pace of development in the countries. As industries and other sectors do not get employable people for the jobs and ultimately, they are forced to pressure existing workers. Yet, the important advantage of having elders in the society is that they act as a bridge for the past to meet future. Their experience is very useful for the new generation as they can easily guide them to tackle the issues of the modern life. As per the report of HRD ministry- 2023, there are issues that government face as far as ageing population is concerned but their presence is vital for the society especially for the young generation.

To Conclude, admittedly people have started living longer and this have pressured the governments of the nations but their existence is priceless as the knowledge and the experience that they have gained is actually a guiding force for the youngsters who have strength and no vision.
