General line – India is a diverse country. So, there are number of tourist attractions like lakes, rivers, waterfall spots and many more. Today I have got this opportunity to divulge about a particular lake of my country which fascinates me a lot.
Which it is?
It is nothing other than Sukhna lake which is situated In the heart of Chandigarh.
How do you know about it?
As I belong to Punjab, so obviously I know about this place. Moreover, I have heard from my many friends and other people that this place is a must in the travel bucket list.
Why does it impress you so much?
Well this is the cardinal place for getting to know about the actual beauty of Chandigarh. One of my uncles lives over there and first time I visited it with my younger cousin because it is stone’s throw away from my uncle’s home. The are some boats for the tourists which can be taken on rent by them. We also booked a boat and enjoyed the spectacular view. Moreover, we saw Shivalik Hills from Sukhna lake and really I witnessed that kind of view for the first time in my life. In addition to this, there are infinite shops on the edges of lake from where people can have their meals. The best thing that I found over there was that, cleanness is taken into consideration at Sukhna Lake not only by workers but visitors too. Furthermore, the water of Sukhna Lake is used for agriculture purpose in Chandigarh especially for irrigation as well as there are distinct(different) species of fishes in Sukhna Lake which enhance the overall beauty of that place. As I am icthyophile(a person who like s fishes) I felt tremendously happy after seeing colorful fishes even I clicked so many pictures of them.
