The representative table provides information about consumerism proportions spend on different items in five countries namely Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002.
It can be clearly seen that a huge chunk of money had spent on food, drinks and tobacco in all five countries. Additionally, least consumption of money was on leisure activities and education.
Coming to details, In 2002, a large portion of money was consumed by people on purchasing the meals, drinks and smoking products. Mainly, Ireland’s resident spent around 29% of their income on these things. But, Trukese people spent more than 30%of money on food products, drinks and tobacco. The expenditure of Swedan’s people was the least one for buying these products.
As per the table, consumers from all five countries spent less than 10% income on clothes, shoes, leisure activities and education. Italian people’s expenditures were quite higher for buying clothes and footwear. On the other hand, Spanish people proportions on leisure and study were the least one. And it was less than 2%.
