Introductory Statement:

The line graph illustrates the percentage of the citizens aged 65 and above between 1940 and 2040 in the countries named Japan, Sweden and USA.

Overall Statement:

Overall, it is vividly clear that the trend of population in case of USA and Sweden are almost same. And they are actually constantly increasing with passage of time. In contrast, the trend of Japan goes downward in initial years but finally, it also increases at last.

Body Statement 1:

Talking about USA and Sweden, both the countries were almost at the same point i.e between 5 percent and 10 percent in the year 1940. Their growth reflects almost similar pace for next 60 years. But, after that their comes a downward trend in case of USA specifically in year 2020. Yet, they both will reach around 25 percent of the portion of the population in year 2040.

Body Statement 2:

In case of Japan, the trend of the portion can be divided into two parts for elaboration. The trend which started at 5 percent in 1940 shows a slump for around 60 years which is the first phase of it. In the second phase, it shows a drastic increase which shall reach 10 percent in 2030 and finally more than 25 percent in 2040 which is highest of all the other countries.
