It is true fact that nowadays, the number of crimes is increasing day by day. A few people claim that there should be fixed type of punishment for every crime. On the other hand, some people believe that the circumstances of committing any kind of crime, should always be taken into consideration at the time of deciding punishment. In the upcoming paragraph, firstly this essay will discuss that how a particular kind of punishments helps to reduce the crime. Secondly, this essay will discuss that is should always be remembered that what is the native committing crime.

On the one hand, nowadays a large number of crimes are occurring in our world. For the reduction of different sorts of crimes, some people argue that there should be typical fixed punishment for every single type of crime. Because, people think if people are aware from the punishment then they will not commit any crime. Moreover, there should be no any kind of crime such as theft, burglary. Because people will be aware that they will have to take serious kind of punishment. If they will do any crime. So, every crime should be treats in the same way. For example, a poll was conducted by Indian government in 2019, according to which it was found that 80% people believed that court should impose typical fixed punishments for every crime for reduction of crimes.

Because, a person killed in self-defense, could not be compared with social killer. Sometimes a person kill another person for his or her safety purpose. Furthermore, a poor person any crime such as theft for any basic needs like food, clothes etc. So, it is very important for higher authorities to know about the situation and motive of an individual crime. For instance, an article was published in ‘The Tribune’ newspaper in 2020, according to which it was found that court was not giving any punishment to lady, because she murdered the person for her safety purpose.
