Young generation act as a valuable resource of a nation. Young people are encourage to work or travel for a year after completing high school and before starting university studies in some countries. This essay will firstly discuss about the pros of doing work or travelling before entering university such as, feel refresh before the new start and better work or travel experience. Secondly, it will discuss about the cons such as, get diverted from the main goal or spending too much money on travelling.
Body Paragraph 1:
Many young people are motivated to travel or work before starting their university education. Travelling help individual to refresh and relax before going back to studies. It also fill their mind and body with new positive energy. Young people get to experience new thing during traveling. Many young adults opt to do work after finishing school for earning money for their university fee. With that they also provide them better task experience that can be useful in their future. For example, a survey was conducted by Harvard University in 2019 which states that about 25% to 45%. Young people choose to work or travel between finishing high school and starting university.

If doing work or travel before starting further study had positive aspect, it had some negative points too. Sometimes while working, young people make themselves indulge in work that they get distracted from their real goal. Instead of saving money for their university fee they start earning money buy expensive things. Even during traveling for a year between finishing high school, young individuals spend a lot of money. They get habitual of relax and stress free life that after traveling they did not want to study further. For example, a study was conducted by Arthur University in 2019 which states that about 15% to 25% young adults get distracted from their main goal of entering university because of traveling and work.
