To begin with, firstly the salmon fish lays eggs on the upper river, which is slow moving. After that, it takes approx. 5 to 6 months to develop into the first stage of fish, which known as fry. The length of fry fish is 3 to 5 cm. Moreover, the fry fish develops in the lower river, which is fast flowing. Furthermore, it takes approximately 4 years to convert into the second stage of fish, which is called smolt.

In this stage, the size of smolt fish is 12 to 15 cm. After that, the fish develop in the open sea and the smolt about 5 years convert into the adult salmon fish, it Is the last stage of fish. Moreover, the length of this adult salmon is 70 to 76 cm, which is quite large. After that the adult salmon fish lays eggs on the upper river and the process continues.
