Introductory Statement:
In today’s world violence is rapidly increased. The amount of crime is increasing in many nations. This essay will firstly discuss about the major causes of crime like unemployment and poverty. Secondly, it will discuss about how we can deal with those causes to reduce crime rate.
Body Paragraph 1:
As we all get to know about increasing number of crime rate through newspaper and television. Media also show the major cause behind its rapid increase is poverty and unemployment. These conditions force individuals to commit crime. Because, many young adults do not get adequate jobs according to their qualifications. Rather sometimes they do not even get a job. Eventually, it forces them to commit crime like robbery or murder to earn money for their family or for themselves. Human emotions like anger, sadness or rivalry also play a major role in contributing to stimulate the human brain to commit crime. For example, study done by Mumbai University in 2021 which states that unemployment is a major cause in increasing crime rate from 10% to 25% in young adults.
Body Paragraph 2:
Government should take some vital actions to control the crime rate. The problem like unemployment can be solved by providing loans to youngsters so they can setup their own business and give jobs to other. Increase in employment rate will automatically help to decrease poverty in the country. And if young adults get job according to their qualification they would not go for crime to fulfill their needs. Moreover, negative emotions like anger or sadness will no longer manipulate their mind in bad way. For example, an article was published in ‘The Tribune’ newspaper according to which, there was 21% to 15% decrease in crime rate due to the increase of self-employment in youth.
Conclusion:
In the end it is clearly seen that the increase in crime rate in many countries is because of conditions like poverty and unemployment. And these problems can be eradicated by the actions of government. The government can provide appropriate jobs and education to the youngsters.
