Introduction Statement:
Technology is ever increase entity nowadays. Many children spend many hours of their day on their smartphones. In the following paragraph this essay will firstly discuss that due to lack of social life in reality and wide content availability of internet, children spend of their time internet and secondly this is a negative development.
Body Paragraph 1:
To start with, nowadays children are spending more hours on their smartphones. They chat with their friends, watch movies and do several more things. This is because at present time people tend to have very less real life friends. In this world of digitization children like to post each and every thing they do on the social media. They are interacting with more and more people on internet rather than meeting them face of face. Moreover, there is a wide availability of content on the internet. Children like to pass their time on internet. Be it online shopping, playing games, watching movies etc. For example, a survey was done by an NGO ‘ Being Human’ in 2021 , according to which people nowadays are creating more happening social life rather the real life.
Body Paragraph 2:
This situation can lead to many problems. Children are lacking interaction with their family members. To maintain the unrealistic social life, children may become victims of depression. Children waste their time searching unproductive things and may get in a bad society. For example, an article was published by ‘ The Time Now’ newspaper in June 2022 stated that there was many online games available which promotes suicide.
Conclusion:
To conclude this essay, children are having more social media friends rather than real friends. They are having less interaction with their family members and hence may be prone to depression. Children can get into bad society through internet. So parents should keep check on their children’s online activities and should try to interact with them.
