Band 9 Sample: Creative artist should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas in words, pictures, music or film in whichever way they wish. There should be no government restrictions on what they do. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this option.
Introductory Statement:
Talented people should be given full liberty to generate their own ideas, be it literature, poetry, painting, music or movies. The masterpieces that has stood the test of times were not created with a restraint from external parties. But they were born from a consciousness that allowed itself to roam independently. Far more artists have fallen prey to the government restrictions. Which consequently has dulled their work in the name of censorship, religion and caste. This essay agrees fully that it is important for a creative artist to have as much space as their wings want so that humanity is allowed an another Da Vinci, another Van Gogh and another Mozart.
Body Paragraph 1:
Looking back at few of the greatest artist that walked this earth, it is evidently clear that restriction was not a notion they were familiar with. Because governments itself was not something that was present at that time with such intensity. There was no policy on how a song should be, what the lyrics should convey, or what should be the agenda of the painting. Lack of such restriction made them churn out a long-lasting relics that has outlasted kingdoms and castles. A clear example of this is all the museums in the world have painting of the artists that are long dead. Mozart’s symphonies are still the most heard music in the whole wide-world.
Body Paragraph 2:
Explaining further, the side-effects of government influences create much damage than advantages they claim to have. The Red Tapers tries doctoring the art so they do not hurt the sentiments of overly religious groups. Many songs, movies are edited and surgically engineered again for the populace so it is swallowed without effort. This has proved many times to have altered the originality of that movie or song. The artist is left heartbroken and de-motivated to have his wings clipped. For instance, Anurag Kashyap, a famous Indian director had several movies which got banned by the government, and later when the director released it on Youtube, it was a revolutionary success. This goes to show, how unknowingly, the government can damage the creativity of an artist.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, it is crystal clear that the artist works best when he is unbound and away from any forces that may try to enslave it through restrictions and policies. When allowed a flexible thinking and a no bar, the talents can surprise the world with its unbounded imagination.
