• What is internet?

The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that uses the Internet protocol suite to communicate between networks and devices. It is a network of networks that consists of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope. Apart from this,  it supports human communication via social media, electronic mail (e-mail), “chat rooms,” newsgroups, and audio and video transmission and allows people to work collaboratively at many different locations. It supports access to digital information by many applications, including the World Wide Web. Internet is connection of networks through which we can share information, pictures and videos (through websites and applications).

• Internet is a platform through which connectivity has increased among the individuals which can be used for sharing information and data.
• People can connect to the distant friends and relatives.
• Internet can help in improving the relation with friends and family as we can be in touch with them.
• Moreover, we can share our photos and videos with our friends and relatives through it.

• Internet has the access to education, medical services, payment and billing services etc.
• A person can shop, pay his bills, and get medical helps by using internet.
• Most importantly there has been an increase in the approach to the education.
• Students can get more option for the study courses on the internet.
• Moreover, students who cannot afford to go to the institutes or colleges, can study through internet at home for free.

• Things and ideas have started developing at high speed because internet has provided an opportunity.
• There has been amplification in the globalization and digitalization with Internet.

• People can organize virtual meeting and seminars and can share ideas.

1. Cyber Crime: –

• Internet has become ubiquitous.
• Nowadays, everything is connected and controlled with internet.
• This has given a privilege to the criminals to do unlawful and illegal activities.
• Criminals are making fake links and applications with fake thumbnails as click baits through which they hack and steal valuable information of other people like pins, passwords, bank details, photos, videos, etc.
• Moreover, Criminals can directly steal money from banks or they blackmail people and extort money.
• They can even morph the photos and videos and can extort money.

1. Increase in Crime Rate: –

• The crime rates have subsequently increased with internet.
• Criminals are using advanced technology and connectivity to communicate with each other.
• They are using secured connectivities with which it is hard to track them.
• Internet has given them a platform through which criminals can associate and execute their criminal activities.

1. Censorship: –

• Nowadays internet is easily accessible, which makes all the information on the internet easily available. This can create nuisance over the internet.
• So censorship should be there. Censorship is a legal control of what can be published, viewed, deleted and shared on the internet.

For example:-

• Certification of the movies, pictures and music is done, so that only mature audience can watch the restricted content like violence, disturbance, gore etc.
• Crucial information related to nation and national government should not be accessible the citizens of the country. As well as this kind of information should be disclosed to rival countries or any other countries.
• Moreover, anything written against the national personalities and renowned individuals automatically gets censored.

NOTE: – Some content on the internet demands certain level of maturity. Children do not have that much knowledge and understanding. It may affect them psychologically. So parents and teacher should guide the children and teenagers properly. It can prevent juvenile delinquency as well.
