Overall, it is quite apparent that, there were a greater number of marriages in the starting year a divorce rates were nearly same in all the years. Whereas, according to the second graph more percentage of the people got married and minimum got divorced.

Moving on the details, the maximum number of marriages were held in 1970 and 1980 that were 2.5 million in each year. The number of marriages happened in the year 1990 were nearly 2.4 million. But, the number decreased to 2 million in the year of 2000. However, the number of divorces occurred were less than marriages. Moreover, the number of divorces occurred in 1970 and 2000 were 1 million in each year. Furthermore, the divorce rate was approximately 1.4 millions and 1.1 millions in the years 1980 and 1990 respectively.
